About the event
Our family adopted the wonderful Kitty Ellis Manville Easterling from the Humane Society of Schuyler County in August 2023. We inquired about adopting a large senior cat who would get along well with kids and a dog and it was suggested that we visit Manville. He seemed lovely when we met him so we proceeded with adoption. We were told to bring a large carrier because Manville is about 24 pounds of cat! Manville, now Kitty Ellis, was an instant amazing addition to our family. He is best friends with our rescue dog Tucker, our kids Noel and Emry, and he has joined us in our road trip adventures already visiting Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Tennessee! Needless to say, we are absolutely obsessed with Kitty Ellis and want to do what we can to thank the Humane Society of Schuyler County for their work in rescuing Kitty Ellis, taking care of him, and then matching him up with our family! This brings us to the Kitty Ellis Comfort Ball!!
Why a Comfort Ball? Well, Kitty Ellis LOVES to snuggle, relax, take it easy, and EAT so what better way is there to celebrate Kitty Ellis than enjoying delicious vegan food, listening to live music, wearing pajamas or other comfort wear AND benefitting the Humane Society?!
In addition to benefitting the Humane Society of Schuyler County, this event will also benefit the Humane Society of Chemung County. As you may know, Grandma's Kitchen's prior location in Schuyler County was destroyed by a flood in early February and Grandma's Kitchen is now located in Chemung County and so funds raised will be shared with both locations.
